The firm JELÍNEK – furniture maker

The activity of the company Jelínek - výroba nábytku was interrupted for 40 years. The Communist regime when quantity was preferred to quality resulted in changed character of the manufacture from artistic to purely utility character and the high-quality craftsmanship gradually disappeared, all the business contacts and relations of the original company were destroyed. Despite that, grandsons of Jindřich Jelínek decided to continue the family tradition and having the restitution issues been settled in the year of 1991, they started strenuous rebuilding of the company which was already extinct. The joiner's workshop was refurbished in order to start new manufacture. Having tested the first prototypes, the company tried to penetrate the market with new products from segmented bent wood and with a complete novelty on our market, represented by the orthopaedic grate with mattress. The number of satisfied companies in gradually increasing and the logo of the company becomes more and more known.

Progress of the Firm

A considerable benefit is represented by development of a health mattress SÁRA of an innovated structure which obtained significant quality award "CZECH MADE". In 1995, the company finally started the scheduled overall refurbishment of the whole manufacturing plant. The plans of Jindřich Jelínek, more than fifty years old, were a considerable source of inspiration for the owners in the architectonic solution. The refurbished plant of the JELÍNEK company was festively opened in the autumn of 1996 with the participation of the representatives of the municipal council and other important guests. It is a modern plant which manufactures today chairs, armchairs, tables, folding screens from bent wood and the most popular product of the company at the moment - the orthopaedic segmented mattress SÁRA and the novelty represented by the orthopaedic segmented mattress BÁRA. These mattresses are supplied together with beds, wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside tables and positioning frames for the beds.

As regards this assortment, the company is specialized in furniture manufacture from solid wood. The seating furniture, i.e. chairs, armchairs, pouffes are manufactured using the technology of bent segments. The company built a new manufacturing hall with modern operation at present.

The retail store of the company Jelínek presents the whole offer of the furniture manufactured. A subsidiary named JELÍNEK - Slovensko s.r.o. was opened in Slovakia in the year of 1997 and this subsidiary has the same assortment as the parent company.

A higher demand for massive wood furniture was an impulse for opening another workroom in the Masaryk Street in Valašské Meziříčí in 2003. The production hall of the premises is equipped with a modern production line for furniture surface finishing by ecological water-base lacquers. Nevertheless, even here mark furniture cannot do without manual work, especially during grinding and assembly operations. A professional storing of furniture can now be accomplished thanks to the possibility of using a controlled-temperature despatch store.

In 2004 two company stores for JELÍNEK brand furniture were opened in Prague, and in 2005 one company store was opened in Brno.

In the year 2005 the export to the European Union countries was started.

The product quality of the JELÍNEK – výroba nábytku s.r.o. (JELÍNEK Furniture Production Ltd.) company is checked on regular basis. In the year 2006, the SARA, ZORA and SALOME mattresses, and in the following year 2007 the DALILA bedroom and the RACHEL furniture series reached the appreciation „ČESKÁ KVALITA NÁBYTEK“ (Czech Quality Furniture).

The company JELÍNEK - výroba nábytku s.r.o. employs today 100 employees who try, together with the owners of the company, to adhere to the principle of the founders: „ Fair work to obtain customer's trust.“
